Presentation Description People in their 20’s and 30’s seek mental health help more often, and they are changing the nature of treatment. Millennials don’t just care about mental health issues, they are also invested in using therapy for mitigating stress in an over stimulating world and for personal development. This presentation discusses how millennials are expanding the uses for therapy and the important of better understanding their needs, desires and debunking negative stereotypes.
Measurable Objectives Based on the learning in this course, participants will be able to: 1. List three ways the millennials are changing the stigma traditionally attached to psychotherapy. 2. List three inaccurate stereotypes about the millennial generation. 3. Describe one of the most significant challenges facing a millennial, decision fatigue.
Presenter Bio Natalie Moore, LMFT: is a marriage family therapist in private practice. She integrate a total sense of mind and body into her therapy practice calling this approach Holistic Psychotherapy. Her approach blends mindfulness and manifestation - spiritual practices that work together to help clients release resistance, accept the present and envision and create their future.
