Matt Misuraca works in private practice in Palm Desert California, as well as contracts for several local drug and alcohol treatment centers in the Coachella Valley.
Matt’s private practice focus is group, individual & family therapy dealing with addicts and family of addicts as well as Jirvana workshops.
Matt also offer Jirvana workshops, which consist of both psycho educational groups, One-day Co-dependency workshops and 3-day weekend workshops. He uses an experiential approach to therapy which he believes helps the participants get in touch with feelings and gain a clearer understanding of their issues. His psycho educational groups also use an experiential approach as well, to enhance the learning experience.
Matt uses an experiential approach to therapy. His groups use psychodrama / experiential therapy to help participants get in touch with feelings and gain a clearer understanding of their issues.
Jirvana 3-day weekend workshops, are a weekend workshops for 6 participants, the work comes from an experiential approach and is designed to assist participants to see clearly, identify blocks in their lives as well as the conditions around those blocks, then began to make changes in their life to remove or shrink the blocks. His weekly psycho educational groups are a mini follow up version of the weekend.
Matt was introduced to Psychodrama / Experiential therapy in 1988 and has been actively involved ever since.
