Presentation Description 

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy more efficiently and quickly.

Presenter Bio 

Kara Nossardi, MA, LMFT is the Director of Training and Founder of the EMDR Education and Training Center (EETC), an Approved Consultant and Practicum 

Supervisor at Sonoma Psychotherapy Institute (Sonoma PTI), as well as a Practicum Facilitator for the EMDR Center of Southern California (ECSC) and the EMDR Center of Canada. Kara has been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist since 2014 and currently practices in Temecula, California, where she specializes in using attachment-focused EMDR Therapy in the treatment of complex Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), depression, and anxiety. Kara is an EMDRIA approved Trainer, Approved Consultant, and Certified EMDR Therapist. Kara’s skill and passion in providing EMDR Training and consultation is accentuated by her previous career as a college-level academician. This course meets the qualifications for two (2) hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  Completion certificates will be awarded for full attendance of the event. Course evaluations are required to obtain the completion certificate.

The Desert Chapter of CAMFT is approved by the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (Provider #62275) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs.  The Desert Chapter of CAMFT maintains responsibility for the course and its content.  [This venue is ADA acceptable.
