Course Description:

One out of every four women over 50 is suffering from anxiety or depression... which is a forerunner for addiction. Stigma is often the leading factor that silences women and keeps them from reaching out. Join Hay House author Renee Baribeau, "The Practical Shaman," as she explores the healing art of wind work to raise your sail, remove resistance, and move forward with ease.

Objectives:

1. How to identify types of addictions: substance, impulse control, & behavioral

2. Keys to recognizing the symptoms of addiction... & what to do about them

3. Ways to remove fear and resistance to change using the natural element of wind & WindWork®

4. Holistic, simple, & effective practices to help heal addiction

Goals:

1. To learn about the modality of Wind Work®

2. To learn how Addiction and Depression in woman over 50 is increasing and what steps can be taken to meet this population where they are at.

3. To learn how recognize and treat different types of addiction: substance, impulse control, & behavioral

Bio:

Renee Baribeau BA, is a Hay House author, Wind Whistler, inspirational mentor, respected business coach, dynamic spiritual teacher, and keynote speaker. Renee is well known for her nononsense, “tell it like it is” approach in helping others to achieve successful lifestyle practices by aligning to their sacred Magnetic North. Her clients include everyday folks, entrepreneurs, CEOs, movie producers, and celebrities.

Renee launched the Finding Freedom LGBTQ Symposium, an annual event which bring together new “Thought Leaders” in Gender Expansion, LGBTQ Awareness, and Addiction Mental Health Treatment. Possessing her own entrepreneurial spirit, Renee has owned successful Farm-to-Table restaurants and a holistic network of love-based healing and service providers. After spending 10 years as a corporate executive, Renee currently does community outreach and marketing for Michael’s House Treatment Centers.

In 2013, the Winds began to speak to Renee, insisting she turn her attention to their ancient wisdom teaching, resulting in a book which quickly became an Amazon bestseller, Winds of Spirit: Ancient Wisdom Tools for Navigating Relationships, Health, and the Divine which explores the rich mythology and cultural significance of Wind and reveals a powerful system to utilize these subtle, life-healing energies.

This course meets the qualifications for one (1) hour of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  Completion certificates will be awarded for full attendance of the event. Course evaluations are required to obtain the completion certificate.

The Desert Chapter of CAMFT is approved by the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (Provider #62275) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs.  The Desert Chapter of CAMFT maintains responsibility for the course and its content.  [This venue is ADA acceptable.
